Hajj is a spiritual journey and the thought of an “app” for Hajj can seem inappropriate. If you’re the kind of person who wants a technology-free, pure spiritual experience than kudos to you. I have a lot of respect for people who leave their phones behind and go on a technology fast during their Hajj. It’s no easy task. For everyone else who does plan on taking their phone, then I highly recommend reducing your use to the extremely bare minimum and if you are to use your phone, use it for good. Below you will find apps for Hajj that I have personally found very valuable.
MyDuaa
I rave about this app all the time. It truly is an amazing app. It is the entire Fortress of the Muslim book with authentic dua’s from the Quran and Sunnah in a clean and easy to use App. Out of all the Apps for Hajj, MyDuaa is my top pick.
iOS
Quran Pro
During Hajj, I highly recommend having a physical Quran rather than reading off your phone. However, when you are in transit or just want to relax and listen to some beautiful recitation, then Quran Pro has you covered. You can have access to some of the world’s most famous Qaris at your fingertips.
iOS | Android
WeSalam
Truly a gem of an app. This app is your Hajj buddy. WeSalam will serve as your Hajj sidekick right from the beginning of your Hajj journey by providing useful tips on what to pack and bring along with you all the way to your final tawaf. The application has a beautiful UI that is easy to use and best of all it’s free with no annoying ads. May Allah immensely reward the creator of the app.

Audible
You will spend lots of time at the airport, waiting for buses/trains and commuting in general during Hajj. An excellent way to spend your time is by listening to the Quran, making dua and doing general dhikr (remembrance of Allah). However, if you want to take a short break, download a good and beneficial book on your audible app and listen to that. It is a much better alternative to chit-chatting or just wasting time.
iOS | Android
Google Maps
While at Hajj, you will be moving around a lot. Mostly walking from one place to another. If your hotel is far away and you want to explore the city, then having the Google Maps app will make navigating around so much easier. Especially since due to the sheer magnitude of people present in the holy city can make things confusing.
iOS | Android
Google Keep
You never know when a dua might come to mind. As you go through the experience of Hajj and see things that you are grateful for or thought hits you out of nowhere the last thing you want to do is believe you will remember it later. Trust us, you will not. So take out the app and make a quick note of it. Then when you have some time to yourself add it to your dua list.
